Healing At Its Best

Reading this book changed my whole perspective on deliverance and inner healing. I am amazed how people react when I share this valuable information with they who confide in me about childhood trauma's and wounds. They realize there are answers to their problems of anger, shame and even unforgiveness. This book should be on everyone's coffee table who have ever experienced wounding as a child. It is helpful for both men and women who want to live a life of freedom and wholeness.

Victory Come Forth!!!

From a male perspective, when I read this book I quickly realized it was not just another book written for women. I am astounded at the statistics of so many people men and women who are hurt as children. What impresses me most is the quality and simplicity in which it is written. The sources she quotes are vast and tells a lot about the amount of time Dr. Gayle spent on her research. I say loudly "Victory Come Forth!"

Victorious Living!!! Lovin' Life!!!

Life changing! Victorious living in a life full of challanges. Practical and successful solutions to complex issues for those who have been traumatized. Men and women who have a lifetime of suffering can now live in freedom. Bridging the gap between mental health and spiritual healing, this book is a "MUST" for those who counsel and those who receive counseling. Research and case studies are excellent. You won't be able to set this book down. True stories. From lives of devastation and destruction to freedom and joy.

Talk About Setting You Free!!!!!

This book is one of the best books I have ever read on healing. It's not only great for your personal use, but it can be used as a guide to help others. I would highly recommend this book to people who have to teach in this area as well as to those who have to deal with secrets within their own families. Why have people walk in bondage when they truly can be set free?! The author did an incredible job of releasing me from things that I didn't even realize I was covering up!!! Thank you and may God bless you! By the way, I recommend the workbook too! It was awesome!

By His Stripes We Are HEALED!

Dr. Gayle Rogers provides a unique viewpoint on the treatment of sexually traumatized African American women by weaving spiritual deliverance and psychological counseling into a comprehensive participatory treatment plan. She acknowledges that the church, specifically the African American church, has failed the community by not addressing the effects of sexually traumatized souls. The lack of attention given by the church coupled with the lack of understanding by the community at large leaves sexually traumatized women at a stand still which often leads to self-destruction. Dr. Rogers provides reliable research and the Word of God to bridge the gap therefore healing the traumatized soul. Dr. Rogers urges the African American church to stand up and fight to regain souls that may be lost in generational curses of sex and violence. The research presented follows the lives of women that have experienced "true" spiritual deliverance. Their deliverance was achieved by first recognizing the trauma and having the desire to be set free. The freedom they experience allows an awakening and understanding of the power of the Holy Spirit. The willingness to let go and forgive everyone involved in the sexual trauma they experienced allows them to cultivate the "right" relationship with God. It is through this relationship that the individual can identify, acknowledge and reject all generational curses in order to move on. All of this coupled with the desire to be made whole will allow the now "delivered" individual to pray for the healing of others. HEALING THE TRAUMATIZED SOUL speaks volumes to the masses of African American women (and men) that have been sexually abused. Dr. Rogers writes with a clear and loving voice that is easy to comprehend and relate to your own life experiences. This is a must read for anyone that has undergone sexual abuse of any kind as it teaches one how to let go and let GOD. Every church pastor and leader should be trained to use her new participatory healing concept meant to release traumatized souls so that they may be FREE. Reviewed by: M.
