One of my favorite kids' books...

Ten-year-old Bailey -- insecure about her place among her new classmates and her foster family -- decides to run for class president. Her need to win is even greater when she finds out that her snobby classmate Janie is her opponent. Bailey and her best friend Kevin develop an entire strategy for bribing and wooing their classmates' votes...a strategy that goes a little too far when Bailey tells a group of boys she had a head transplant as a child, and they want to see her scar! I love this book

This book--the sequel to 'Kevin Corbett Eats Flies'--was excellent. All of Patricia Hermes' books are so well written. I have reread every single one of them and each time, I have read them with a box of tissues close by. Ms. Hermes is a wonderful author.
