Good springboard on your way to Greatness!

This is a very useful book to read especially if you want information that leads to other self improvement topics. I was once a kid who put little effort toward school, almost kicked out of high school, bad in college - but used some of the information found in this book to take a MENSA admission test and pass! Good stuff. The information this book covers is amazing. While each "intelligence" can be better learned about by concentrating on books dedicated to each subject individually, you will do yourself a disservice by not reading this book. It can only lead to becoming a more well rounded individual and may even spring you towards greatness. Are those "greats" we read and hear about like Leonardo DaVinci, Babe Ruth, Oprah, Einstein, Mozart, and Gandhi as capable as they are/were because they were born that way, or did they use and practice knowledge that we all have access to. I think you know the answer. This book will be a starting point for you. The book describes how to improve ten "intelligences" (think of IQ, but for other than just "smarts") which provide for a well rounded person: 1. Creative intelligence 2. Personal intelligence 3. Social intelligence 4. Spiritual intelligence 5. Physical intelligence 6. Sensual intelligence 7. Sexual intelligence 8. Numerical intelligence 9. Spatial intelligence 10. Verbal intelligence The book is easy enough to read to be a great starter book, but with ample info to satisfy those who are "further along" than most.

A good self help book on multiple intelligence.

This book seems like a blend of Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory, and Michael Gelb's Discover Your Genius. In fact, the works of Michael Gelb and Tony Buzan is converging so much over the years, it gets hard to remember who wrote what. It does not matter, they are both great. In this book, Buzan clearly outlines 9 different types of intelligence. You can test your own intelligence within these 9 types, as defined. Buzan makes also sound recommendations on how to exercise and improve each of these intelligences.
