Part of a series of manuals for car or motorcycle owners, the Haynes Automotive Repair manuals provide information on routine maintenance and repair, with all tasks described & photographed in a step-by-step sequence.'
Better than the Chilton's, but not by much. It is the best repair manual for 94-98 mustangs out there. I recommend getting both this and the Chilton's and using both. If you only get one, make it Haynes.
Good for basic maintenance, but lacking for major mods..

The basic maintenance section is great... for changing spark plugs, changing oil, etc.Two weaknesses though - 1) It covers the 5.0L, 3.8L and 4.6L DOHC in great detail. The 4.6L SOHC (which I what I have) is rarely directly covered. Its tossed in together with the DOHC. This is problematic, especially for working in the engine area... things are never in the same place.2) If you want detailed information on things that regular maintenance don't cover, for the purpose of making modifications (vortech, nitrous, etc.) there's not enough detail. This is OK, since modifications is not the main purpose of the book.Overall, good for what its intended for!
