I read the book many years ago. My granddaughter is expecting and I bought the book for her. She and her hubby are stationed out of state and needed some little bit of guidence since this is her first. The book is very funny and yet it contains timeless common sense for to-be mothers.
Don't have a baby without this book!!!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Having a Baby Can Be a Scream is the cleverest and most useful book on having a baby since Dr. Spock. In fact, it's better because it's written for dummies with a sense of humor. Those who have had babies know how important humor is, otherwise, you'd cry more than the baby. Joan should republish this book and share it with the next generation of new parents.
Her Best Book

Even those who don't like Joan Rivers will love this book! She begins by a lengthy description of her obstretician and the way he makes her arrange her feet in the stirrups. And then (well, Melissa is a grown woman by now) she delves back into her memory bank and delivers the goods in the caustic way her fans have come to love and expect from Joan Rivers. Don't be put off by rumors of recent plastic surgery. At heart Joan Rivers is a down-to-earth woman with a writing skill that rivals that of the late Erma Bombeck. By the time you are done, you will have experienced extreme contractions--but of laughter, not pain!
