Standard Edition (ISBN 978-1901091861)

I bought this with the 6th Edition (ISBN 978-1901091410). This 2022 Edition (ISBN 978-1901091861) includes most of the shooting locations for the Harry Potter Films AND the Fantastic Beast Films. This 2022 Edition is in B&W, the pages are of standard thickness, it has 32 more pages of Fantastic Beast film locations. Which comes down to SIX additional film locations. I counted. Originally I was going to use the 6th Edition as my notebook but since it is in color and the pages are of superior quality, I will keep that one safe and use this 2022 Edition to make notes and highlight tidbits. I highly recommend reading this BEFORE visiting the sites so you will know what to look for. There are some missing but those are not in the UK. For example, Rothenburg ob der Tauber (the Weinstube Spitzhäuschen Building in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany) where they filmed a quick bit for DH1. And then there are some sites that make you think, "Wait a minute..." Like the New York City sites that the author does state were "used as Inspiration." There were some sets that were specifically built at a location, like Hagrid's Hut in Glencoe, but were immediately removed after filming. What is nice about this book is the author was able to include photos of those particular temporary sets. I love that most of the sites mentioned have been verified by locals and the area tourist and film offices. This was a very well put together book and I appreciate all of the hard work and tidbits that were added. And it's not just HP Films. There are mentions of other movies and television series that have been filmed at various locations. Overall, great book. Definitely worth the investment to complete anyone's Harry Potter collection.
