No jacket!

I completely agree with whoever posted expecting the "jacket." I will also be donating this book😔

Book was definitely not ‘like new condition’

I knew the book was missing the dust jacket when I ordered and that was fine. However it has definite water damage on both ends of the book plus something on the front cover that looks like gum. So I would never ever consider this book ‘like new.’ This was my first time ordering from Thrift and will be my last.

No cover !

It’s ok condition however there’s no dust jacket !!! The whole point of the hard cover. Pretty irritated about that

Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix

Missing dust jacket and in poor condition

Harry potter is my favorite series. I had The series already but living in a condo has a down fall.

I have read My Harry Potter books many many times, 5 books came with bookcovers. 2 book did not come with there bookcovers, that was disappointing. But the price I paid was phenomenal and I was very happy.

Extremely molded cover

I got it for acceptable condition yet the cover had mold all over the inside. I don’t mind the dents in the cover and the book itself is in good condition (pages that is) but the entire front and back cover is molded extremely bad. First issue I’ve ever had with any book I’ve ordered from here. I don’t get how a moldy cover is acceptable at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

Did not come as pictured, was pictured with a slipcase and did not have one!

The book was pictured and advertised as "This cloth-covered deluxe edition features full-color printed endpapers and a foil-stamped title on the spine, and comes complete with a full-color slipcase with matte lamination and foil-stamping. Best of all, the removable, suitable-for-framing book jacket is emblazoned with exclusive, original artwork (that's different than the regular edition) by illustrator Mary GrandPr--a one-of-a-kind keepsake that you won't find anywhere else." and it did not come as such! It did not have the Slip-Case, very disappointing!

Description Not Accurate - Buyer Beware

I purchased a "very good" condition version and I'd say it would be "acceptable" at best. Writing on pages, a few rips and such. No dust jacket. I bought this for my own private collection but was really disappointed since my other "very good" condition purchases were infact, very good condition. This one was not at all and I'm super upset.

): disappointed

I bought the series, most in “very good” condition, this one included. Somehow, the few “good” conditioned books that came were in way better condition than the “very good” conditioned book that this was supposed to be. The spine and book itself is peeling and falling apart on the bottom of the spine. I can’t complain much, it was around 5$, but it didn’t leave a great first impression about this site.. if i’m desperate for a book i’d still buy it, but save your money and just buy them new if you can. I have seen people on social media love this site without this problem on other books, so it could possibly be given the age and demand of the series.

No dust cover/jacket

Pretty disappointed as I received it with no jacket. NOWHERE did it say it wouldn't have one. Pretty upset and now have to go through the headache of trying to return it or exchange it. I waited a week to receive the book.

A great read and fantastic journey in this series.

Another great on this series

Why didn't they tell me?!

I don't see anywhere in the description of the books that they came without dustjackets. Silly me for just assuming there was an illustration on the front cover...but that's what I saw in the pictures

Definitely not "like new"

missing dust jacket, which is very disappointing and then there is writing all over the pages. The spine of the book also looks beaten to hell. overall, very disappointed.

Payed $4 for a 1st edition?!

Upon arrival I was upset I payed $4 for a hardcover book that was deemed “very good” when I could feel the rod used for the binding broken through the dust jacket but when I checked out the publication it is legit a 1st ed. how crazy!!

Not Acceptable

Received the book Missing the first 116 + pages My young daughter was very sad

Mangy ol’ halfblood!

The thing I like about the Harry Potter franchise is it is as light or as deep as you need it to be. So, if you need it to be about a boy who goes to school and learns magic and fights bad guys, then this is the series for you. But if you need it to be a series of war, politics, love and loss, and rebellion, then again, this is the series for you. Order of the Phoenix is the first book in the franchise where Harry really gets to “step off the farm”. His world beyond Hogwarts expands, and he starts learning the true definition of family and trust. Oh, and if you are a fan of villains, Dolores Umbridge will be your newest love-hate character.

Not as described

HORRIBLE it said this book was "like new" but maybe they meant new 10 years ago. The book spine is totally ripped in half and pages are falling out. Very disappointed.

Good is not good

This book is HORRIBLE. it’s chewed on it’s corners and falling apart. Do better! What the heck!!

No cover

I ordered the hardcover version and the cover was not sent with the book :/

Uh...missing pages

So I got to chapter six and then realized pages were cut out! Someone cut out the pages to the book! I'm not even sure how to react lol! They cut out the middle of the pages so I can not read anything lol

What I ordered.

I got exactly what was purchased.

Wrong cover

Right book But different cover

Love the book but BEWARE if you are buying from here for collections or gifts!!

I hate to be this way but I used this site to get these books for my daughters birthday. Maybe it states somewhere that you are not guaranteed what is pictured but I believed the book would at least have the dust jacket! It was the WHOLE point of buying it here. Just made me sad because I couldn't give her the full set like I hoped and now will most likely donate this book because it isn't what I wanted, so I'm out that money.

Condition of book as described by seller!!

This book was bought for my grandson who has just discovered Harry Potter. Third generation J.K. Rowling reader!! The older generations are selfish and not willing to pass down their original books, lol. We are currently building his collection.

Book was in ok condition but was very disappointed that it did not come with the dust jacket. Now go

Great book. Have all the Harry Potter books and enjoy all of them.

Great condition

Great book!!

WOW. JK is like an awesome writer!

I can't wait to read the sixth book! I want to know who the half blood prince is! I pre-ordered a book to come in July some time, and I'm looking forward to reading it! The 5th book was sooo good! I've read it like five times now! I can't wait for more! I was kind of sad when my favorite character died though! But there was whispering behind the veil, so hopefully he's still alive! I have a feeling Dumbledore is going to die in the next book, probably to save Harry or something...

Harry Potter in Spanish!

As soon as I got my copy of this book I was thrill. The translation is great and it retained the original enthuciams that the english version has.I recommed this book to anyone that knows spanish or is learning, this will be the ideal gift.

Another dose of magic from the world of Harry Potter

We should all now be familiar with the story of Harry Potter (especially if you are reading The Order of the Phoenix), so there isn't much of a reason for a backstory. Harry's adventures have already kept us entertained over the span of four books and now, in the fifth chapter, the most intricate story is given. In "Order" Harry emerges as a very angry youth, he expresses rage towards the Dursleys, his friends, teachers, and the adults he holds in high regard. An event occurring in the Muggle world causes Harry to become involved in the Wizarding government who soon decides to put their hands into Hogwarts business. Knowing Harry, much adventure and mystery does await his next year at Hogwarts and Order of the Phoenix doesn't let you down. You're given the romance, action, mystery, and tragedy. But this doesn't mean the novel isn't filled with fun (the Weasley brothers Fred and George take care of that). The most heinous of all characters (possibly even worse than Voldemort) comes from one of the new additions to the Hogwarts staff. All of this isn't helped because Harry and his fellow fifth years also have to deal with their exhausting O.W.L.s. But don't let the 800+ pages get you down, you will become so involved you won't notice how fast the pages turn. All leading up to an amazing climax that will definitly leave you begging for more. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix follows the usual Rowling formula-each new book is better than the next-and you will find yourself dazzled. So when does the sixth one come out?
