This book was so fun to read! It was really nice to return to the character of Daniel Kavanagh, having been pretty absorbed by the earlier Emerald Ballads featuring him. The storyline feels a little bit more casually-paced, which can be really nice when you’re not necessarily looking for a nerve-clencher, without sacrificing an interesting plot. I was very interested in the characters’ arcs, and I like the general moral of not allowing self-righteousness or status affect relationships. Overall very child friendly.
