Mining 101

"A hard rock mine like the Sweet Betsy is murder for accidents"--a quote from one of the characters in the book, and pretty much sums up the action. Shipley Freeman had a mine and he believed someone was "poaching" from it. Finding silver was hard enough, and required luck. He knew it took guts to keep it too. Arizona Territory is the setting for this great novel by Frank Bonham first published in 1958.
