Charming!

I could say so much about this book! This beautifully designed book is chock full of beautiful talismans, amulets, and charms! A lot of the ideas within can also be adapted to other projects. Most of the materials required are easily accessible, and the instructions are good. There is also a lot of off-the-wall, little-known, and eclectic information from various traditions sprinkled throughout the book, which matches the projects and gives the book a "quirky" feel. The only problem is that the book seems to suffer from a lack of thorough editing; in at least one project, the "you will need" materials for the project don't really match the instructions. Over all, though, a great, original book. I'll keep this one out on my crafts table.

Happy Book

This is my very favorite craft book. It's a beautifully photographed and well researched tongue-in-cheek look at lucky charms for the home. It's colorful, full of eye candy and is a happy, happy book. Love it!! It is not a serious treatise on the mysteries of voodoo, but then it doesn't profess to be.
