Use of human hands is both a cultural and spiritual issue in the Bible. This book explores hand laying within African cultural nuances and Old and New Testaments to draw implication for Christian beliefs and practice. The title of this book is the sum of the book is in the title Hand Laying is Consequential. The act may be simple, unassuming and may not last more than half a minute or even les but the implication may be far reaching, affecting destiny over generation to come. The event of Jacob's hands on Manasseh and Ephraim was both destiny impacted and imparted (Gen 48:13-20). Be that as it may, Jesus recommended its use (Mark 16:18). The Early Church as well as church tradition shows evidence of use and its implication. Of course, the contemporary church uses it perhaps more than the past generations. Paul knew its implication and strongly warned Timothy not to lay hands on someone, suddenly (1Tm 5:22). Whereas Paul was concerned about those who are to receive hands; this book asserts you must mind the hands to take. The reason for the call for caution is the basis for this book.
