One of the best children's books

I have three kids and I've read an enormous number of children's books. This is easily one of the best. My 3-4 year old son went through a phase where he asked to read this book consistently. The illustrations are also quite good.

my father used to read this book to me when i was little. 15 years later, I can still remember the storyline and i want to find this book to bring back memories. maybe i will see haddock with his 6 toes on his left foot. Kristen (age 17)
