Gypsy Heart

Sable Castle returns to town to help a friend by taking a job as a bartender at the Zodiac Pub. A birthday celebration is in full swing in the back room. Sable senses the "bad boy" as he enters the establishment, feeling an instant attraction to this sexy stranger. Never one to stay in one place for long, Sable has always led the life of a gypsy, but this night she decides to take a daring step to quell her restless spirit by gratifying her desire for the stranger. Gage Dougherty arrives at the Zodiac Pub for his younger brother Garret's twenty-fifth birthday bash during the Friday night happy hour. Gage, who works for the Forestry service as an Environment Investigator, spots the spirited bartender and is amused by the way she handles the customers. Recently, Gage decided he wants the perfect wife and the stereotypical concept of home and children. When Sable makes a move on him, he resolves to resist her and everything she represents. What happens when the sparks fly? Gypsy Heart by Sasha White is a delightful tale about a couple from diverse backgrounds who try to reconcile their wants and desires with the reality of who they actually are. Watching them interact is amusing. Sable, a strong willed woman who doesn't want to be tied down, eventually learns happiness can be had if she just takes a chance. Gage walks into this relationship with a pre-conceived idea of home and hearth, but soon learns Sable is actually what he really needs. Once he accepts this as truth, he must convince his gypsy woman that she is his new standard for perfection. I throughly enjoyed Ms. White's Gypsy Heart. So much that I have put on her on my auto-buy list for any future releases! Gene reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

My first Sasha White book.. .but definitely NOT the last!

Reformed bad boy Gage Dougherty has given up his wild ways. It's time to settle down with one woman and live happily ever after. The only problem is that the sexy female bartender he meets at the pub during his brother's birthday gathering entices him to revert back to his old ways. Bartender Sable Castle is really a `good girl' at heart. She enjoys flirting with the men at the bar, but that's as far as it ever goes. None of them have ever made her heart patter double time and aroused a deep desire in her, until Gage entered the bar. Just looking at him makes Sable want to be very bad. Gage may be a reformed bad boy, but there's no harm in looking at an enticing woman, right? He only entered the bar to help his little brother, Garret, celebrate his twenty-fifth birthday, but something about the bartender draws him to her. She seems to enjoy his advances and flirts right back, but he needs a settling down kind of girl and her appearance and teasing ways screams `casual relationship.' For the most part, Sable isn't really a settling down kind of girl, she has wanderlust and has traveled the world, learning new things and playing photographer. She's not close with any of her family, and the only real friend that Sable has is the bar owner, Miranda. Having no real ties anywhere makes it easier for Sable to pick up and go on a moment's notice. She's only working the bar as a special favor for Miranda, who'd inherited it, but needs Sable's help with bartending until she can learn how to tend the bar herself. After all of the flirting, Sable assumed that Gage would stick around after closing. She's disappointed when she learns that he left while she was in back locking up the money and shutting down the computers. Sable hasn't wanted anything in a very long time as much as she wants Gage and the fact that she knows he wants her too but is denying the quickie fling she has in mind has her unabashedly pursuing him. Only once she catches him, he has no intention of letting her go. Will he be able to convince her to give up her nomadic lifestyle and trust him with her GYPSY HEART? Sasha White throws out all the traditional roles in her latest book GYPSY HEART resulting in a story with heart that you won't be able to put down. I love the way Gage went about getting to know Sable instead of blatantly using her. Sable isn't used to being courted and it's a bit scary and confusing for her but Gage is patient and he's careful to ensure that she's comfortable with him. In addition to watching Gage and Sable's relationship flourish, we get hints of the possibility of a budding romance between Miranda and Jake, the bar's cook. They're also great characters and I'd love to see a follow up book with their story. While we're at it, how about one for Gage's little brother, Garret, as well? While exploring Ms. White's website I discovered several upcoming books that I've added to my "watch for" list. This looks like an author who writes storie

My First Sasha White Book

I loved this book. So full and emotional. You won't want to put it down. Sable and Gage's story just keeps you involved from the beginning. You'll be loving her and pulling for them both, all the way through.

Review by Tammy for Fallen Angel Reviews

Sable Castle is a free spirit who has never had a real relationship. She is used to men hitting on her and not even bothering to look beyond the bad girl bartender act. While working one night, Sable is aware of the attraction flowing between her and the sexy Gabe and is ready to live up to her bad girl image. When Gage doesn't act on her not so subtle come-ons, Sable is forced to pursue him until she catches him, but what will she do when he asks more of her then she can give? Gage Dougherty has given up the bad boy life to settle down with one woman and have a family. He is attracted to Sable but sees her bad girl act and knows that he needs more than a good time. After running into Sable several times, Gage starts to see more of the real woman behind the tough girl persona, and begins to think that she just might be the girl for him. Now all Gage needs to do is convince Sable to give up her free spirit ways and take a chance at happiness. Gypsy Heart is a fantastic story that I wanted to go on forever. The sexual tension between Sable and Gage was electric and when they came together, it was hot and steamy. I loved watching these two remarkable characters interact and felt like I knew them since they were both very relatable. Sasha White has penned a tale that will leave readers hanging on to her every word. This is one of the best books I have picked up in a long time and is highly deserving of 5 Angels and a Recommended Read. Reviewed by: Tammy For Fallen Angel Reviews
