For those who like freedom

This book is essential for anyone who is interested in the public debate on guns. Whether you support gun control or are against it, you walk away a little smarter after reading this book. Mr. LaPierre proved to be very knowledgable on the topic and leaves the question up to you- Will you sacrifice freedom for a false sense of security?

Obviously not read by Jaywright.

The book clearly discusses the meaning of "the people" and other phrases as used CONSISTENTLY throughout the constitution. If you are truly curious and actually have an opened mind and have not already set your thoughts in concrete, this book will be useful and enlightening - it may not change your stance, but it does give anyone capable of thinking food for thought.

Rampant paranoia it ain't

This book is marvelous. For those who say that the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee the INDIVIDUAL right to bear arms, re-read the ENTIRE Constitution and look at the 2nd Amendment in context. Further laws limiting gun ownership will NOT prevent criminals and terrorists from getting firearms; they WILL, however, prevent honest citizens from protecting themselves...especially since the Supreme Court has already ruled that it is NOT the place of government to PROTECT individual citizens (this refers to local as well as state and federal government).

Finally, the truth is told about guns.

Wayne LaPierre gives convincing arguments against the falacies of the gun control doctrine, and backs it up with highly credible references. I recommend this book for anybody sitting on the fence over the gun control issue. Climb down, read the book, and discover your rights as a United States citizen.

LaPierre's Best Effort Yet

Wayne LaPierre has never been more on the mark or insightful in Guns, Freedom and Terrorism, and he doesn't bog us down with a 300 page pro-gun sermon like a lot of the books in the same field. The writing is sharp, to the point, and fresh (this book's not a sequel to Guns, Crime, and Freedom, by the way) and it's structured very well. Other Second Amendment writers lose a lot of their steam by pouring on too much of the their own hype. It gets boring. But LaPeirre, in each chapter, hits each nail on the head, then moves right on to the next point. Another thing that sets this book apart is the way it reveals how politics and the media are very stealthily trying to make us think that what the Founding Fathers wrote in the Second Amendment doesn't apply anymore. LaPierre's answer makes these politicians and media magnates look ridiculous in what they want us to believe. This book made me think a lot about our Constitutional right to bears arms, what that means today, and what it may or may not mean in the future.
