Let The Guns Speak For Themselves

Six stories dating from 1929 to 1933 fill this book. Stories of hard men with guns in their fists. Men either quiet and peaceful who are forced to do the right thing; or outcasts traveling the owlhoot trail because every hand is against them. One story stands out--Five Hard Men--the two main characters are Joe Breedlove and Indigo Bowers, perhaps the two most popular ones Ernest Haycox created, at least for me. I only wish someone would bring out a volume with all of these stories together in one place. I don't even know how many of them there are. If anyone does I'd sure like to know, and their titles. In this one Joe comes up with a scheme to capture Craw Magoon and retrieve stolen money; and as usual Indigo has his doubts it will work. Great story, great book.
