The Original 007

A stroke of luck for myself to find this gem, picked it up off a bench in the airport. Once I started reading, I could not put this book down. An amazing story about the original 007, if you are lucky enough to find this book, give it a read.

James Bond stand aside

This excellent read takes you on a journey that is absolutely amazing. My book was a Panther edition (reprinted twice in 1977). It has sat unread and unobserved on my shelf for years. What a surprise when I got around to it. Why a film has not been made as a period piece sticking to the earthy excitement of this book I do not know. A pearl waiting to be found and polished.

James Bond is a tamed down version of Merlin Minshall

This has to been one of the best books I've read this year (1999). I spend two years looking for this book and it was worth the wait.Ignoring the amazing historic information and the fantastic true tales - this book is awsume.Merlin Minshall is Indiana Jone, James Bond and Peter Sellers (and many more), rolled into one.It contains over 50 B & W photographs of his life and the second World War.It'll make my "must read list" every time.
