Another Spy Satellite Library must have!

The information in the book is dated, but its setup is wonderful. The list of reconnaissance satellites from the U.S., China and the Soviet Union are included, with an appendix of basic orbital mechanics for spy satellites. Information this comprehensive about U.S. satellites have been repeated elsewhere, but for the money, the data on the Soviet and Chinese systems are priceless. Peebles is an amazing investigative writer, and he follows the success of "Guardians" with "Corona: America First Spy Satellite." If you're doing historical study, this is a great book to own. If you're just on the National Security kick for newer technology, find a conspiracy book with satellite coverage in it...
