Spell-binding!! An amazing read!!

I received a copy for Christmas and bought copies for the history buffs in my family. Unlike a history textbook, however, Grunt Air is anything but dry & boring! Roman, the main character, is 10 feet tall and bulletproof, at least in his own mind, but that's simply how he interprets his job description. A hero without foibles could be a little cartoonish in this setting, but Roman displays humanity & humbleness, putting so much of himself into getting the job done, expecting so much of his team, yet nothing he can't or won't do, earning their respect in a very real-life manner. It's impossible to put this book down for fear of missing something! The adjunct story lines elicit just as much emotion as Taylor skillfully creates believable characters and scenarios, some of which are despicable. Reading the last page, as the remnants of my cheers & tears faded, I was left thirsting for more! I am looking forward to the sequel!

Rave Reviews

I purchased this book for several friends and family for Christmas. Each and everyone of these people have raved about it, said they couldn't put it down, said they are sincerely hoping for a sequel. Great book.

Grunt Air is a great read

I bought copies of this for my kids for Christmas because of our mutual interest in the subject matter. They are raving about it, I started my copy last evening & could not put it down. The subject matter is something we all need to hear about & the style of writing puts me in mind of WEB Griffin. Buy this book, & hope for a sequel. Hope it comes out on CD soon!
