This book was written in 1999, during the go-go years of the late 1990s when people were jumping from job to job like there was no tomorrow. There were plenty of employment opportunities-locally and across the country and the world. With such abundance, a lot of people were just jumping without investing sufficient time and thought into the decisions they were making. Then the economy tanked, taking a lot of hopeful careers down with it. Hark! The economy is coming back! Things are picking up again and workers will have an increasing number of job options open to them. As we shift back toward a sellers' market, workers in all fields will again have decisions to make.
