No Hype. This album has great photos

This photo album is fairly large being a ten inch square and weighing in at 304 pages and 95% of the pages are photos. There are many photos that are full page in size, some are double page size and the rest are half page size and all of them have a few words of explanation. These photos are great not only for their action shots but also for the emotions that are evoked from them. Emotions cover a wide range from anger, revulsion, pity, and also pride in some cases. Some of these photos can be seen in other albums but this album has the advantage for you see many of them in full page or double page size. There is much death that range from innocent civilians or partisans being executed by firing squad or by hanging to dead soldiers laying in the surf, on the battlefield or in the ruined cities like Stalingrad. You will see many ships firing and being fired upon, some of which were sinking. In North Africa you'll see soldiers fighting dust storms as well as the enemy. In the air, you'll see dogfights with planes hurling to the ground, flights of bombers delivering their loads. In the jungles of the Pacific, you'll see close combat but you'll also see a Marine rescuing a new born from certain death. On a lighter note, there are pictures on the homefront. Soldiers kissing their wives goodbye or women working on the assembly line or volunteers putting together packages for the soldiers. At Stalingrad, you'll see Russian soldiers dancing in the street after the German surrender. You'll see a wounded pilot being rescued before his plane falls into the ocean. I have many photo albums but this is the most moving. If your looking for your first album or want to expand your existing library, you should definitely consider this one. Its highly recommended.
