Fine reference and a pleasant read

Wow! What a fun book. A whirlwind trip through notable works by 75 of history's most notable artists. As with the others of his books, Vigue has presented the reader with an incredible collection of high quality images, art history, and commentary. The 25% larger format and somewhat narrower scope than his previous work1000 Masterpieces of Painting Nudes enabled the images in this book to be printed 50-100% larger. As might be expected, there's some overlap of images in Vigue's many books, but that doesn't detract from them. Highly recommended.
