Loved this one

Lady Genevieve sets out to the Blackfoot territory to being back an Indian (compensated for their time) to her father who has taken ill while researching the American Indian tribes. Her father is in St. Louis and to keep their family honor and monies he must have this tribe represented and finish the book very soon. She hires two trappers to procure her an Indian. It is not until they are about to set sail on the steamship again to St. Louis that she find the man they procured was kidnapped. But, she is under a time table and decides to "keep him"But, he turns the tables when the steamship explodes and sinks. He takes her captive to teach her a lesson. But, they both learn a lesson while they travel back to his home, one of love and culture. As they travel to his people he teaches her what she will need for her book and she helps him understand that not all white men are what he sees in the fort. This one started out a little slow but when it started to move it moved quickly and I became thoroughly engrossed. I really enjoyed this one and have gone to find the other 2 in this series

Loved it ! ! ! !

I was so happy that Gen-ee's followed her heart, an went after Gray Hawk, and her father accepted him, love comes once in a life time, I am glad she didn't turn away. A must read book.

Another great love story.

From the minute I saw Gray Hawk's Lady on the shelf I knew it would win my heart. I am a sucker for Indian romance novels. It's all that I read, and the cover seemed to transcend what was to come. An exciting trip that would make me bubble with laughter, cry and even get angry. To think Mr. Toddman would double cross Gen-ee's father and begin a study of his own after squandering finances afforded to him on gambling. Truely poor taste, ole chap. But I was glad to see in the end that Mr. Toddman did get what was coming to him. Another scene I enjoyed was of the party in St. Louis, celebrating her father finishing his study of the different tribes. Lady Genevieve dressed in the finest St. Louis has to offer and Gray Hawk in his matching buckskins. Then the glance across the room that melted my heart. Another thing about the book I found quite interesting was the describing of the different tribes that make up the Blackfeet Nation in the preface. It helped in the understanding a bit. This is my first book of Karen Kay's, but I am so looking forward to the next installments of her Blackfoot Warrior series.
