Good, old-fashioned fun superhero comic

"Gravity" written by Sean McKeever, is a fun, lighthearted comicbook miniseries featuring a bright-eyed, college-age "newbie" superhero who moves to New York City in search of fame and fortune. As he starts classes as NYU, he echoes the 1970s college years of Peter Parker (which is appropriate since Spider-Man is his hero) as he finds love and flunks English Lit. This series has a nice, light touch -- it's a fun, quick read, good for comicbook fans both old and new who might be looking for a break from "mature" titles with heavy themes or overly graphic violence. Recommended! (Joe Sixpack, ReadThatAgain book reviews)

Looking for a great all ages title? fun comic? easy to jump into? this is it!

This is a new hero from marvel comics, this reprints issues 1-5 of gravity, who looks to be a new up and coming star for marvel comics, the reason is he is so likable, he's a guy who started college, wants to do right in the world, meet a girl, help a few people..oh and he has super powers too, though he had no tragic event in his past, he wanted to emulate spider-man and many other heroes so he made a costume, went to new york for school and is trying to make the leap to big time hero. This book takes place in the regular marvel universe but it won't bog you down with 40 years of history, mosly the other heroes show up in cameos as they fly by, the story of gravity so far is all new and all in this one book, so if your lookin for a fun book try this one. It's great for kids, a great hero with good dreams who finds life is not as easy as it seems, but it has a good lesson..keep trying, but this is also a great book for adults, i'm 25 and i have read comics for years but I loved this book, it feels fresh, alive almost (thanks is major part to the art). the story has a twists that is easy to figure out, but that's not what the book is about, it's about characters your gonna love reading, even the side characters like gravity's college roommate or the girl he meets, they are not just dressing for the hero, they make his life more full and are real people. So get this book, you won't regret it, and with enough peopel reading it maybe we can get more books written later.
