Grandma's Garden

Each summer, Grandma's garden is filled with leaves and vines. In fall it's bursting with pumpkins. In winter it's covered with a blanket of snow. But in spring it isn't a garden at all--only a bare patch of dirt, just waiting for Grandma and Kim to start the miracle all over again. "Particularly fine."--School Library Journal.

True to Life Story!

As the author of Aunt Tami's Strawberry Farm and Twin Sister of Aunt Tami, I have experienced all the things written in this informative story. It teaches so many valuable lessons. There is generally one common thread between farmers, when nature destroys what you have worked so hard to accomplish, one must wipe their hands, put a smile on their face and try again! This is a quality that every child needs to have. Life is not easy, but it is how you react to the things that go wrong that will determine how you will feel in the end. As farming seems to be fading as the years go by, this book needs to be cherished and brought out year after year. What a great book. I applaud Elaine Moore for such a wonderful story. Terri "Hunter" Ward, author of Aunt Tami's Stawberry Farm and One Starry Night.
