I've never seen my sister so enthralled with one book. She knows that's how cats really act so she can relate to the book. The bright and colorful pictures keep her entertained for hours. It's easy to read and easy to understand. I don't know if she is going to let me return the book to the library before her own book comes in the mail!
Pictures worth 1000 words for a toddler!

Our toddler, who understands about cat scratches firsthand, can relate to the story of the little girl who doesn't know how to become friends with her grandma's cat, and we think it's a great teaching tool--If you pull the cat's tail, this is what happens ... !!!! Best thing about the book is the illustrations. The story is set in a wonderful "grandma's garden". My husband & I love the way the cat is drawn--he's not a cute, cuddly thing, he shows real "cat personality," with very feisty eyes. My daughter looks for "grannie" in every picture--something about her really conveys "grandma" to a small child.
