Book Overview

Beauty is one ugly subject!

It's no secret that girls struggle with feeling gross, fat, skinny, tall, short, or inadequate, thanks to distorted ideas of what beauty really is. The media is no help, with its airbrushed and enhanced images of models and movie stars.

The answer isn't dieting or new clothes or surgery. The answer is found in the Word of God.

This book provides a biblical perspective to every woman who has ever struggled with self worth!

While I did not care for the title of the book, I found that it's overall message was something that every woman no matter what her age needs to hear. We live in a society that places a woman's worth in everything except for where God intended, and this book does an amazing job of uncovering the lies that cause so many women to self destruct. This book reveals the heart of every woman and her desire to be a beautiful princess. It carefully reveals that this longing is the natural result of being children of THE KING. This means that there is royalty in our blood! We are princesses and Erin does an excellent job of revealing how the Bible teaches us that our royalty is established and we have a place in God's kingdom. Now all we have to do is actively embrace these truths trusting that God will remain faithful to the wonderful promises that he has made to all of His children in His Word. God loves us so much that He was willing to die for us. How could we ever feel unworthy in light of such a grand gesture of love from the King of the universe?

MUST READ! Share it with the girls & women you love

Ms. Davis has done a remarkable job sharing her journey while calling us as women to start seeing ourselves as God does -- regardless of the reflection in the mirror. I will be buying copies to give to the special teenage girls & women in my life. I am confident that God is going to use this in a mighty way to heal many hearts.

A compelling book for all women

If you've ever looked in the mirror and not liked what you saw, or had a day that made you feel worthless, you will be glad you read this book! It is written, very successfully, to be a source of guidance and encouragement for young women dealing with the stresses of culture's warped views of beauty and self worth. I began reading it with thoughts of the young people in my life, and soon learned that Erin's deeply personal story is a compelling read for us older women, too! Graffiti is a quick read with a lot of depth. Whatever your age, treat yourself to a copy - you will be anxious to share Erin's insights with a friend! - A Missouri grandmother

Graffiti Review

This book is exactly what young girls in our society need. Young women live in a world that is always bombarding them with images that are unattainable. This book teaches that every girl has worth, no matter their size or shape. Although written to an audience of young women I believe this book contains lessons valuable to all women. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever struggled with self-worth or self esteem.

Wow! NOT just for teenagers!! This plays to me, an older mature female too!!

I was reading this to see if I would like it for a group of girls we are hosting for an event this fall. Boy was I struck cold when I read Ms. Davis' account of how her mom's dissatisfaction with her bod influenced Ms. Davis as a young lady. I totally related. That was ME!! I'm the mom! I never thought of how my dissatisfaction with what God has given ME would trickle down to my beautiful seemingly confident daughter. I really feel like this book is for ALL females across the boards, not just young ladies. I'm not sure the target is for youth, but MY over 45 year old friends will be reading this!!! I am an artist, and the exec dir. of a performing arts center AND I teach acting at our local community college - I have already added a lot of the Graffiti principles to my Acting I curriculum. This can be applied to anybody! Just how much of our culture dictates our thoughts on ourselves? I had no idea! graffiti is an easy read, but powerful with fresh thought provoking Bible based principles that our ladies today do not hear or see. I feel freed from the slavery of culture compliance. Ms. Davis shoots it straight and makes it real, on how we look at ourselves and others. Self confrontation! That's what it is. I am not only getting this for my daughter but the event girls will also be receiving this! Thank you for graffiti!!
