Living in the Reality of God's Grace

Gifted Christian communicator Bob Lenz makes the Gospel message resonate with a new generation of youth. He translates textbook theology into everyday living. In a remarkable and creative writing form Lenz mixes prose, poetry, stories, personal illustrations, and the scriptures to engage the reader. Bob entertains, (I laughed until I couldn't read through the tears) exhorts. Counsels, and challenges the reader to consider personally the amazing freedom and challenges of grace. The format includes powerful side bars that become sign posts pointing out highlights of the journey ahead. Then they serve as snapshots at the end of the trip reminding the reader of significant highlights of an exciting experience. I found myself reflecting on one of these highlights. Bob writes regarding sharing the message of our faith: "We're not becoming their enemies because we are telling them the truth, but because of how we are telling them the truth." This is bold dynamic writing with a message for today's generation and all those that follow

Grace

Great book about God's grace. We don't deserve it and we can't earn it. God loves us unconditional. We can't earn eternal life, but it is the gift and grace of Jesus alone.

Grace one of the most used words in the church

Back in 1957 I was teaching a Sunday School class of adults and Grace was the subject of interest. This writer porvides for us guidance for spiritual growth covering all of the Bible teachings on Grace. This book should be considered for use by small groups and for sermons from the pulpit.
