Well written and entertaining. Language is that used in old South. Expressions best understood by those who actually lived in this time frame or heard tales passed down to them. Enjoyed family dynamics.

Clark weaves the words is that of a master. This should be a "must read" book for all students in elementary and high school. The way that Mr. Clark deals with life and death, if only we could be so lucky to explain it to our own children that way. This is only one of the many books available by Mr. Clark. He is a gifted master and poet and his books should fill all shelves of your home.
