Even Guys Liked It

I don't usually read romance, but Good With His Hands was a fun read that kept my interest and made me think twice about reading romance in the future (particularly Alexa Darin's work). I was pleasantly surprised by this first-time author. I do a lot of reading so I can be a pretty harsh critic, but I found that the characters were well developed, the plot was believable, the pace was quick, and the humor made me smile. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan on purchasing her next book, which I hope comes out soon!

Fun and Sexy!

Alexa Darin's created a combination of fun and sexy characters in her first book. Pepper Barlett search for a good man truly gave a perfect example of what some young women of today will do just to find the right even if they have to lie to themselves before they see the real thing in front of them. I just wished there had been some fmore information about Jake's past. It was kind of glossed overespecially exactly why he quit being a doctor. This was a fun read!

A thoroughly enjoyable book!

This book is a wonderful story about honesty and romance, love and emotions, and finding out what's really important. Ms. Darin has a light-hearted style of writing that gets you into the story, and actually caring about the various characters throughout the interweaving story lines. I cracked a smile more than a few times with some of her quips of humor and wit, and imagine that she is probably a lot like the heroine of the story. I was expecting much less from a first time author, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I will look forward to reading Ms. Darin's next book. I think she has a bright future as a writer, and not just in romance. Her writing style is one I would enjoy reading in any type of main stream fiction.
