My favorite book from my childhood

I'm not a professional book critic of any sort, I'm a high school student from rural Oregon. my childhood was spent in the bay area though. One of my friends recently told me she was pregnant and I wanted to give her some of the books I had when I was little. The first one I thought of was Good Night Aunt Lilly. I don't even know what it is about this book, but it's enough to stay dear to my heart after thirteen years of reading it. To the Author: Dear Ms. Madigan: Thank you so much for this book. my family was poor around the time I was born, and your book was the first thing I ever owned. Being a little kid, it's important to sate that innocent childhood greediness and have something that is no one else's.
