Towards the begining of this year we took our now 2 year old daughter down to Atlanta and we hit some of the parks, the zoo and the aquarium. We ended up picking this book as well since we have a bunch of the other books in the series and our daughter absolutely loves it, she loves to point and say she had been to those places as well as naming the animals she sees. It will be a great way for her to remember her trip for years to come and won't get too small like a tshirt would!
Great bed time book
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This is a great book for small children. My 2 year old son has been "reading" it for a year now. It is reflective of the multi-cultural city that Atlanta is with its drawings which are simple yet diverse. The fact that there are kids in every scene helps a child relate to the story line. And the fact that the kids end up in bed saying good night helps wrap up our own bed time ritual of reading books before bed. For kids who have been to the city it is a nice souvenir of their visit, or if they live there, it is an easy reference for them to follow.
