Good Grief Third Grade by Colleen O'Shaughnessy McKenna

My book report is about a book named Good Grief Third Grade. This book is about a girl named Marsha who promises her mom and dad that third grade would be her best year. Then Roger Friday ruins her plan by trying to get her into trouble. He comes over to her and bugs her so she slams her desk on his fingers then he fakes pain. When Mrs. Birghes catches him she punishes Marsha. Marsha was relieved to be the first one to get yelled at in her class. She thinks Roger has given her a curse. She tells her friends to tell Roger to take back the snake curse. Roger just thinks she is crazy. He will do anything to ruin Marsha's life. I recommend this book to people who like funny stories and comedy. My favorite part was gym class, when Marsha falls asleep and let's the blue team win. Her coach does not like it when people fall asleep in gym class. Enjoy this story and my book report! MH
GOOD GRIEF THIRD GRADE!

As a 3rd grade teacher, I am doing a "teacher oral read" of this book. The kids are certainly enjoying the antics of Marsha and Mr. Friday!! Great book to read in the opening weeks of 3rd grade.
Roger vs. Marsha

I really liked this book. I thought it was a good example of what third grade is like.It is the story of two third graders that are having a feud. The feud started a long time ago when Marsha thought that Roger put a dead snake in her locker, but it turned out that it was Kenny Scholtz that really did it. But since Marsha thought Roger did it she was holding a grudge. Even though Marsha doesn't like him he still has a great year. I REALLY liked Roger because he is funny. I like his personality. He has a great attitude. On a scale 1-10 I would rate it 9 and a half. I liked how the author writes about what happens in school. All of the scenes sound just like the ones at school. Ms. McKenna was a teacher so she knows what really happens in third grade. I would like to read more books by Ms. McKenna. If you want to read a good school story you should read Good Grief, Third Grade.

I recommend this book because it is really good. It is about two kids who don't get along. These kids get put together for a project. Why don't you read the book and find out what happens? I enjoyed reading this book and I know you will too!
