Would rate this much higher than a 5 if it were possible!

This book is so readable and yet accurate to the majority text of the Authrized King James Bible as it could possibly be. Very pure in it's intenions and very honestly written so as to only portray what the scripture says. NOT what man says, as so many other bibles in this format have done. We had some other comic type bibles and we have replaced them with this. I am very impressed with the artwork and the integrity of the publishers at No greater joy ministries. A plus plus!! We got our children their own copies and they read them every day without suggestion. Highly recommended!! Worth every cent.

I received this book as Christmas present from my loving Wife. It helps to get you excited about reading the Bible again. I have been collecting comic books since the early 80's and it is obvious to me that the artwork is on par with any of the other graphic novels I've collected. I was thrilled to receive it and truly enjoyed reading it. Get it for yourself, get it for a friend, get it for your enemies. Great idea for gifts for anyone who can read. Great witnessing tool, especially for teens who may sneer at being caught reading anything that doesn't have pictures in it. If you don't have it......GET IT!!

Good Bible, Great Book

I ordered a case of these for my husband when he was witnessing to a group of barely literate men, who then invited him to teach a home bible study. They were interested in learning about the bible, but could not follow a bible written for adults, and were too old to willingly read one for children. This seemed to be a perfect fit. Before my husband even got to give them to the people at the study group we had various guests ranging from pastors to Nick Jr. TV artists asking to have a copy. We also have a few copies at our house, which our pre-literate children use during bible time while my husband reads from the KJV, and during Sunday services; they love following along like the adults do. We also plan on bringing these to the Philippines when we go to visit our missionary friends. I'm sure they will make great use of these. Besides, who doesn't like browsing a good quality comic book? Might as well have one with a message worth reading too. We also plan on bringing these to the Philippines when we go to visit our missionary friends.

Comic book of all times

This is the biggest project ever to come out of the nogreaterjoy.org ministry. The illustrator, Danny Bulanadi, worked for Marvel Comics on projects like The Incredible Hulk, and his skills show on every page of this pictorial Bible. There are no pale, weak prophets, or apathetic portrayals of Jesus Christ - each drawing is full of physical and emotional impact. Danny Bulanadi began to go blind as he finished this project, and can no longer draw by sight. The text was written as plainly as possible, by Michael Pearl, for translation purposes. Good and Evil is based on Majority Texts rather than denominational doctrines. It is currently being translated into more than a dozen other languages.

OUTSTANDING- Well worth the money!

This comic book is very well done, great art, compelling and effective presentation of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I thought, I had a fairly good grasp on the Bible and salvation, but this makes me turn pages and say oh, I never thought of it like that that makes SO much sense. A great book for anyone wanting to quickly and enjoyably gain a deep look into Christianity. It's the only book I've ever bought by the case & wanted to give away to everyone. Good and Evil, isn't a childish portrayal but hard answers for life. It is a little graphic, but so is the Bible. I'd rate it PG for younger kids, thou some may say it's not for children, I feel this visual - portray it as it is - comic Bible, is a true, readable, combatant to todays onslaught of media. Solid theology, in a readable form. It includes scripture references at the bottom of each page, making it easy for a reader to pursue further study if they wished to. NoGreaterJoy org is sending out a free "Special Edition" of there magazine including a 30 page sample of "Good and Evil". Quotes- "After writing the text, they found Danny Bulanadi, one of the world's leading comic book artists...who had retired from Marvel Comics...and hired him full time for three years" "Some people told us that we were reinventing the wheel. There are many illustrated Bible story books on the market, some in the major Asian languages. Yes we contacted them. Their pricing was prohibitive, the number of languages limited. The contents were sometimes childish and the art just plain boring. We wanted to be able to give a missionary the rights to publish by the millions and to translate into any language." "Our illustrated book, Good and Evil, is based on this chronological approach. It begins in Genesis and reveals God, sin, law, judgment, prophecy, Christ's teachings, his death, resurrection, salvation, the church, heaven and hell. This is a serious book for adults as well as children." "Rather than beginning their message with Christ died for your sins," they began where God began, in the book of Genesis, with the Creator, the fall of man, the law, blood sacrifices, and prophecies of a coming redeemer, thus preparing the people to fully understand the gospel of Christ." Outstanding and well worth the money!
