Bear is a machine.

Another amazing and must read. I started reading and did not stop. If you like this I recommend "Great Outdoor Adventures", Bear is an inspiration and an icon, I look up to him and all he has accomplished. He has given me the drive and fortitude to realize that after a life altering accident you can still push on and strive and overcome anything. I was severely wounded in Fallujah Iraq and was put in a position that my life was going to be different and through Bear and his words and pursuits I realized that with a little will power and wit you can do anything. Thank you Bear

Interesting read

If you're looking for divine literature, this isn't it. However, it is an interesting story, quite a bit of fun and a nice book to read while relaxing. I bought this for my daughter, who is a huge fan of Bear Grylls, and started reading it just out of curiosity. I found myself staying up late into the night reading it, simply because it is so much fun. I didn't mind the fantasy aspect, as it seemed to fit with the mystique of the Kogi tribe. The age of the characters worked well enough for the story, although I didn't really get attached to the twins at all. Some of the characters were a little over the top, but I think young teens will find that charming rather than off-putting. I have to say, I was surprised to find the book so well-written. There were a few problems with the narrative, but nothing that really messed up the flow. Grylls is both a good writer and a good story-teller. A very good read for anyone-- child, teen or adult, who likes the idea of adventure but isn't looking for a long read.
