This book has vivid photography of the hieroglyphs of all the gods and goddesses covered in this book. It is well written, and gives the reader more information than just the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt. This is a book that I have read a few times, and I am reading it again. if you just need a crash course in the Egyptian gods and goddesses, then this is definitely the book for you.
Fine book

A really enjoyable book. It has colour as well as black and white illustrations, which is always a plus. The writing isn't the best, but not so bad as to be off-putting. A good buy.
Fascinating, informative, insightful reading.

Barbara Watterson's Gods Of Ancient Egypt explores the main characteristics of ancient Egyptian religions and provides the first book to trace the origins of all the major deities of ancient Egypt. Photos and illustrations provide lavish embellishment for a treatise linking Egyptian history of cultural and spiritual change.
