It's about time!

This book expresses many of the thoughts of the "silent minority". The presentation of religious beliefs/analyses in a straight forward manner sprinkled with humor provided many thought provoking situations.

Free Thought Expressed Well

WOW!... Never have I read anything that mirrors my own personal philosophy about God so well! This book should be required reading for any Unitarian Universalist, like myself, who really wants to know what it means to seek truth as a humanist. John gives us plenty of reasons why we should not think that 'In God We MUST Trust'! An obvious conclusion is that the best thing to have faith in is yourself. I constantly redefine, by reason, my spiritual equation to live by. Thank you John Henderson for writing great words that fit in that formula!!! This is really an extremely intelligent, well written book deserving far more than a simple AMEN!!

A Literate Delight

Regardless of one's religious preferences, or lack of them, this is a book to be enjoyed. Authored by John Henderson, a retired air force colonel and practicing physician, every page is filled with useful and highly literate philosophy presented with gentle wisdom. Heavily sprinkled with quotes from three thousand years of observers of our religious thoughts and practices, Henderson offers readers a new approach to our ideas about Gods, life, and living. This book offends no one, yet educates us all with humor and common sense. One must read it, to understand. It was with great pleasure that I did.

Must Read!!

Entertaining and thought provoking perspective on religion for anyone regardless of geographical area or upbringing. Totally enjojable, would recommend it to anyone. Two thumbs up!

Champon Featherweight

Most important, I am a Southern Baptist. I read as much as possible on the topic of religion. This is one of the best researched books you will find on religion. Page for page, it has more facts and commentary than books that are considerably more portly. While I can not agree with every conclusion, I recommend this to anyone who has interest in the subject.
