I have read a lot of parenting books in my time and this is the best yet! The Holy Spirit has surely led Joe McGee in writing this wonderful book. The principles (straight from God's word) make so much sense and are such an encouragement. I just gave this book to a friend and am buying another so I can read it again!

How this mom finds sanity and patience while raising kids

This book is helpful in it shares the importance of what the bible says about raising Godly children. Mr. McGee goes as far as giving you prayers to pray over your children for if you are like me and sometimes just can't think of what to say. As a mom sometimes I get impatient with my children. This book helps remind me of how to handle some of the daily challenges of parenting, as well as, how patience and prayer are key elliments in effective parenting. This book is full of ways to keep your sanity in the challenging world of parenting.

Excellent book on parenting from a biblical perspective.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It gives good insight on raising children. As a father, I have seen how putting these principles into practice has improved my relationship with my children. I have also seen how each one of my children's behavior has improved. It has given me insight on giving vision to my children. The four key areas he deals with are vision, discipline, stewardship, and relationships. His concepts are rooted strongly in the Bible. My only criticism would be that I would have liked to see a bibliography at the back of the book to further enhance my parenting skills. (He names books in each chapter and footnotes them but I think it is more accessible having a bibliography in the back of the book.) I give this book 5 stars and highly recommend it for parents of children of all ages!!!
