Spectacular

Mr. Boa has done a wonderful job in answering difficult questions about the Christian faith. Rather than superficial or ignorant excuses Boa wisely and intelligently reasons with one's doubts. Especially profound is the chapter on the Trinity. I would recommend this book to anyone with doubts or questions about his/her faith. Also, if you are willing and eager to study Christian theology or grow in your faith, this is an excellent book to read.

Ken Boa's GOD, I DON'T UNDERSTAND

This book is to read over and over. It has the appeal to me of a C.S. Lewis or a George Mc Donald. Ken has done a great job of updating truth he wrote about 30 years ago with new insights but no "revisions". It will give me joy to send it to my children this Christmas with a special inscription on the frontspiece for each one.

Thrilled this book is back in print!

This is the best book that I have every read explaining the mysteries of the Bible in terms of antimonies = truths that seem contradictory but are not and which show us that the Bible was not authored by men (who would not have conceived of the antimonies found within the Bible) but rather by the infinite mind of God inspiring the men who recorded what He directed them to write.

Skillfully answers some of the toughest questions

This is one of my favorite books by Dr. Kenneth Boa. It is an updated version of "Unraveling the Big Questions About God." It is the only resource I've ever found that addresses, in layman's terms, the "mysteries" of Scripture, defined as ideas/doctrines which go past the boundary of human understanding. Boa argues that when dealing with such mysteries, human wisdom must be placed in a position subordinate to God's revelation. He states that "it would be the height of egotism for a person to say that because an idea in the Bible does not make sense... it cannot be true." He continues to explain that "when a person insists on trying to subject the two contradictory elements contained in a biblical mystery to human comprehension, he will inevitably...move to one extreme or to the other....We need to understand both elements in each mystery....To maintain proper balance we should accept the tension by supporting both ideas involved equally." Boa then proceeds to skillfully address several scriptural mysteries, including the Trinity, the divine/human nature of Jesus Christ, God's sovereignty (vs. man's free will), and God's relationship to time and space. I highly recommend this book. It is an excellent companion to Dr. Boa's popular apologetics book, "I'm Glad You Asked." For more information about Dr. Boa, visit his website at [...].

Wonderful Intro to Apparent Contradictions of Christianity

Unbelievably well-written and organized journey into antimonies: contraditiction between two equally valid principles or between inferences correctly drawn from such principles. These he lists and unpacks: God-man; trinity; divine soverignty-human responsibility; problem of evil, resurrection, time, space, omnipresence-localizatin, transcendence-immanence.You'll truly find much to ponder and use in your apologetics with finding yourself a copy of this book.
