I am a stay-at-home mom who has completely changed her way of purchasing and eating food thanks to this book! There is so much informative "green" content that we can all benefit from. Everyone should read this book to learn more about our environment and maintain a healthy diet at the same time. Thank you!

Healthy sensible eating plan

I wouldn't call this a diet, more of a healthy eating plan that is also tasty and good for the environment. Since trying to be more "green", my skin looks better, I have more energy and the recipes are categorized by season making it fresh and easy to shop. Interesting data on the impact of our food choices. And you are encouraged to drink coffee, red wine and eat dark chocolate! No downside here...

This is a must read for anyone and everyone who cares about their bodies, their children and the planet we live on! You don't have to have a need for weight loss to benefit from Kate Geagan's timely message. She presents her research in such a straightforward and even witty way that this is an easy read! And it opened up a whole new way of thinking for me about the food I eat - instead of thinking in terms of what I can't eat, or I'm forbidden to eat, I'm thinking more like, "wow, look what I **get** to eat!! Also, there isn't a guilt trip. If you are dedicated to eating something,like ice cream,then you don't have to stop eating it....just modify your eating habits! I wish this were somehow required reading...it is an important message to spread!
