Blood and Guts on the Gridiron

A suprisingly good book. It's vintage cheap science-fiction, but really good in spite of that. Two old football rivals duke it out in a half-time grude match and spawn a whole new "sport". A plausable story, with a little bit of stretching. It very much reminded me of the James Caan version of "Rollerball".Well worth it if you can find it in print still.
