Poetic & Expansive

Asked if her novel would have won the Booker prize ten or twenty years ago, Evaristo, on the BBC Bookclub podcast, said " I don't think so!" We found this text rhythmic and obviously poetic. Yet the narrative journey, with cinematic clarity and theatrical humor, walks you through the lives of every living generation of Black British Women (12 narrators) and those who love them. Delightful; sorrowful; hilarious; educational; it is a must- read.
