My fourth grade daughter was captivated by this book. Linda Ellerbee certainly has her finger on the pulse of Generation Y. Bravo, Linda, and keep it up. You're a compassionate champion to these kids (and to their moms!).
Awesome Read!

You will NOT believe me, But Linda Ellerbee came to MY school! I met her PERSONALY! I thought the book would be stupid, but SOOOOO many people got them autographed I decided to buy a copy to get autographed. (She was REALLY nice!) I thought the book was GREAT! Okay Casey's over-obsesive intrest in journalisim was a little wierd, but the teamwork Casey showed was really cool! She gets along with everybody and is a fun character. Once you read this book I SWEAR you'll be hooked! Great for girls and boys of any age!

This is a great book for 5th grade age children. I found it extremely delightful. I would recommend this book for a class reading selection. It has issues that could be used for interesting class discussions.
Go Casey!

Everyone will like the Get Real series. Casey is a doomed sixth grader who is expected to attend a school without a newspaper! When the school finally decides to have a newspaper, Casey is forced to team up with Sugar Plum Fairy Megan O'Conner, who thinks the paper should be flowery and cute! Plus, Megan wants to be the editor! Well, Casey isn't going to let Megan take over! Casey will do anything to be editor and to get a hot story! Even if it means breaking the rules!
