Samuel Zagat and his editor Louis E. Miller created the Gimpel Beynish der shadkhn comic strip which ran from late 1912 to the last day of the newspaper's publication, February 28 1919. I've cleaned up the images, retyped the captions (available free on request), and translated the comics as well as Zagat's political cartoons.
