America's most respected cookware retailer, the world's largest book publisher, and renowned cooking authorities combine their talents to guide modern cooks. This description may be from another edition of this product.
The content is conveniently separated into sections: Candies & Confections, Baked Gifts, Savories and Canned Gifts. There are also short but very informative sections on equipment you might need, gift wrapping and presentation. The recipes strike a nice balance between being too plain and too fancy or overly complicated. I especially liked that all kinds of baking goods and candies where well represented: cookies, breads, toffee, praline, caramels, fudge, etc. The book is small (only about 100 pages) but beautifully illustrated and itself could be a great gift for any cook.
