I found this book to be very good in helping my granddaughter use thinking skills
Logical thinking is the challenge I found most desirable.

I have a 3.5 year old whom I am homeschooling. All preschool workbooks are the same....ABCs....123s...which picture is the same?...which picture is different?...Longest, shortest..on and on... This series, however, is a refreshing departure from the rote in so many others. Begining on the very fist page, my son was challenged to think logically based upon the directions, as follows: The page has three boxes stacked one upon the other. He must get three crayons, blue, yellow, green. Then he was told the blue box is on the top, the yellow box is on the bottom, one box is green. Based on that information, he had to reason which box was green. Second page: Three boxes stacked upon each other. Get yellow, blue and orange crayon. Here are the directions: The yellow one is on the bottom. The blue one is under the orange one. That's it. Again, he was challenged to think about what color each box had to be. Most workbooks do not challenge our children to think logically, but this one does! This is a GREAT series. It is NOT written for "gifted & talented" children. It is written to help YOU bring out your child's gifts and talents....which is clearly written on the cover of the book. I highly recommend this book and the others in the series.
