Getting in Deep: Deep calls to Deep

Hurried daily schedules full of responsibilities often affect the time we take and the amount of attention we give to what we read. In the trap of superficial skimming we fail to find deep treasures that hide below the surface, settling for what seems apparent or obvious. However; the words of God are multifaceted, and have many layers of hidden revelation! Therefore, instead of remaining at the top surface of the shallow end of the pool, He calls us to go to great bottomless depths where we too say, "Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me" (Psalm 42:7, KJV). May He draw us away, even if but for a moment, from the hurried flow, to find a hush and quiet revelation settling down deep within, as He meets with us.
