good message for pro-life

I enjoyed this book the first time I read it and quickly ordered a copy for myself. It has a good message that lays the foundation for helping children understand the importance of life and for later understanding abortion topics. The only criticism that I have is that the ending of the book sends the message that having a baby will mean that you will never be lonely again which in turn communicates to me that if you are lonely you should have a baby because that will solve the problem. Perhaps a better ending would have been she was thankful for the precious gift that God had given her. Unexpected pregnancies may also lead to adoption, so I don't like the message that Gertie had to be the one to care for the infant as the book implies. Overall, I still love this book and I applaud the author for writing a much needed book for children. I would definetly recommend this book.
