Great historical reference

I read this book as part of a course about German Society post-WWII. At times it was laborious with details but the information was succint and easy to follow. I was also pleased that Pulzer referred to German history prior to WWII to clarify events that occurred during and after the war. The chronology in the beginning of the book was also helpful and his unbiased depiction of the various leaders is commendable as well. If you are interested in learning about the roots of Deutschland as we know it, this book would be a great buy for you!
