very cute book

This is a great book. Wonderful little surprise to find out what the dragon is afraid of at the end of the book. A great bedtime book.

Perfect story for a little boy!

This is a darling story that my three year old son adores. It is written with very simple text and illustrated with great pictures. The story is about a terrible dragon who can tear down castles and defeat armies. He carries away a princess from her castle (you get this part of the story from the illustrations) and carries her off to his cave. Meanwhile, George moves next door to the dragon... and he saves the day. You see, the dragon is terrified of mice, and George is a mouse. When George hops over to the dragon's house to ask for some sugar for his tea, the dragon flies off in horror (great pictures here) and George ends up living in the castle with the princess as her friend and "guard mouse." My son loves castles and knights and dragons. I think this book also appeals to him because someone small saves the day. A great laptime book!

Delightful story of Meek vs. Mighty

This book has beautiful illustrations and wonderful prose. It is a sweet story of a dragon who tries to be fierce, but is afraid of a rather unassuming mouse. It is a quick read - nice for a short bedtime story that doesn't take more than 10 minutes to read aloud. My children love it!
