Spectacular

This was the first romance book I had ever read. I was one of those girls that was strictly interested in fantasy, wizards etc. But since then I have become a hopeless romantic. I have at least 11 other romance books and none of them even competes with this book. It has romance, an actual plot and is riviting with suspense. If you have to read one book this summer let it be this one.

Delightful Regency Romp

I have enjoyed all of Lois Greiman's books, but was unprepared for this lighter vein. The plot is fun altho predictable, the heroine adorable and the hero heroic without being stodgy...all the time. His appalled attraction to Georgiana is marvelous fun to read and his annoyance at her dimissal of "who he is" also fun. Loved every minute.

Another Simmons winner

I stumbled upon one of Simmon's books 'The Devil Earl' on a discount rack in a used book store several weeks ago. Since then, I have been able to get ahold of several more of her books and with the exception of one that I did not like I am hooked. Simmons style of writing provides strong heroes and stronger heroines. The combination, with her style of writing, is dynamite! I just finished reading 'The Gentleman Thief' ( and with the possible exception of it not being as 'racy' as her other offerings), I was not disappointed. The book was great. Some of the scenes are so funny that I almost made myself sick laughing! The book is basically a lighthearted romp (although there are some tense moments) with two main characters who are made for each other. Simmons has a nice style of writing that will keep you reading. I'm not much of a fan of Harlequin, but Simmons is definitely worth a read.

A page-turner

Ms. Simmons has done it again! I started it late last night and couldn't put it down. "Georgie" was a delightful investigator and Ashdowne an amusing "Assistant." I especially enjoyed all her amusing "exploits" or "adventures" in trying to solve the crime. Two thumbs up!
